Senior Vice President, SBA Underwriting
Eduardo Gesio, senior vice president of SBA Underwriting, has three decades of lending and management experience in South Florida.
Before joining the Vertix Group, Eduardo was providing consulting services to banks and lenders on loan underwriting, loan policy creation and implementation, and lending and credit personnel training as president of First Capital Lending Solutions, LLC.
Eduardo lent his talents and experience to the Florida Business Development Corporation (FBDC), a private, nonprofit Certified Development Company that administers the Small Business Association (SBA) 504 Loan Program and is involved in economic development in the community.
During his 18 years at FBDC, he created and implemented all the policies and procedures currently in use as executive vice president and chief operating officer, and later became responsible for all its business development as Director of Economic Lending.
Additionally, Eduardo began his career as part of Ocean Bank’s team in 1992, where he established the bank’s SBA department, leading it to be the number one SBA504 loan producer for six straight years as head of its Small Business Lending department.
Eduardo earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Florida International University and supplemented it with post-graduate advanced accounting and business courses at the University of Florida’s School of Accounting. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
