Head of Business Development
Frank Hermosa, head of business development, has more than 25 years in the financial services industry with a focus on origination, business development and credit collection. In addition, he is co-founder and managing partner of Vertix Group LLC.
He is also managing director and co-head of origination and business development at Altamar Financial Group, a commercial bridge lender affiliated with Vertix.
Previously, Frank was managing partner at HAS Capital Direct, commercial loan brokers. Before that he was managing partner of Priority Mortgage Consultants where he generated, produced, and closed on $40 million in commercial and hard money loans in its first year.
For more than five years, Frank was Vice-President, Private Client/Business Development Officer at TotalBank (now City National Bank) where he succeeded in driving revenue growth by implemented sales strategies and opportunities for new business. He also worked in conjunction with business partners to optimize productivity and capture cross-selling opportunities. Prior to that he was sales and operations manager at Rudd Law Group where he increased sales and improved efficiency and productivity.
His experience includes working for the Florida Business Development Corporation (FBDC), a private, nonprofit Certified Development Company established in 1989 to administer the Small Business Association (SBA) 504 Loan Program.
Frank began his career at Ocean Bank as a credit analyst where he evaluated the financial positions of potential borrowers, performed credit risk assessments, and negotiated with title companies and other closing document suppliers for potential buyers.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, and marketing from Barry University.
